On October 19, WRD students and faculty as well as Writing Center staff hosted a three-hour tabling event in Arts and Letters Hall on DePaul\u2019s Lincoln Park Campus, engaging passersby to celebrate National Day on Writing with us! Students, faculty, and staff\u00a0handed out treats and engaged the campus community in conversations about writing through four prompts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

• What is something you wrote today?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• What is your writing tool of choice?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• What is your favorite thing to write?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Why does writing matter to you?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

  Over 180 members of the community stopped by to talk about writing with us. Dozens more stopped by to grab candy on their way to class, and 70 people completed writing prompts! Check out a few of their answers below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Each year, October 20 marks National Day on Writing.
