Meet Katie O’Dea, a nonprofit professional who will be presenting at “Profit from the Nonprofit Experience” on Tuesday, September 24th.

Katie O’Dea has served as the Director of Communications at Latin School of Chicago for the past eight years. In her role, she is responsible for managing the strategic development, integration and implementation of all aspects of the school’s communications program including content creation, design, production, media relations and social media.
She has spent the majority of her career in the non-profit sector, including working for the City of Chicago as an aldermanic aide, and the Computing Technology Industry Association as a communications manager and speechwriter. Prior to arriving at Latin, O’Dea worked as a senior writer in the public affairs department of Children’s Memorial Hospital.
O’Dea holds a B.S. in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
